Common questions

The shield isn't blocking my apps

Open Settings → Screen Time and confirm Matic still has authorization. Then reopen Matic and re-select the apps you want shielded. The simulator and some configurations can't block apps — Matic needs Screen Time access on a real iPhone.

I earned minutes but can't start a session

A session lifts the shield only while you have a balance and no other session is running. Sessions cap at 60 minutes. If a session looks stuck, fully close and reopen Matic — it settles any expired session on launch.

My NFC tag won't scan

Hold the top of your iPhone near the tag for a second. Make sure the tag is still paired to the habit in the habit's settings, and that it isn't on a metal surface that interferes with the antenna.

Did I lose my streak?

Streaks count days a scheduled habit was completed. If a habit isn't scheduled on a given weekday, that day doesn't break the streak. Check the habit's schedule if a day looks off.
